lol of the day

Ayman al-Zawahiri claims that al-Qaeda does not kill innocent civilians.

Anyone going to believe this guy?

Hey Zawahiri, why don't you go tell that to the families of the victims who were murdered in Amman, Baghdad, Karachi, Morocco, Algeria, and London, asshole?

How does it feel that you have no shame in violating Islam by justifying the slaughter of innocents?

People like you are a disgrace to Islam. I don't want to go to heaven with dogs like you.

UPDATE: Fellow Muslim blogger Tariq Nelson speaks his mind on this development. Must read!

Open question to Geert Wilders supporters

Alright listen up you Wilders minions.

Do you, with true honesty, believe that Geert Wilders is a true knight of freedom?

Do you believe that Geert Wilder is more brave than Anna Politkovskaya, despite the amount of work she has committed for the truth?

Do you believe that the work of a journalist who went through war zones to bring the truth of oppression to the masses is less than that of a bumbling ugly Dutchman who indulges in a slavish conspiracy theory?

Do you believe that demonizing Muslims is more important than someone who risked everything to put those who are committing injustice to, well, justice?

I'll await your response

What's the perfect film to combat Geert Wilders?

There is already one, created by the late Moustapha Akkad, in the mid 70's. It was The Message, and I feel that this film should be reissued in light of the attacks by far-right pundits in a bid for personal gain.

On another note, be sure to check Ali Eteraz' review of the film while you're at it.

It is evident that in order to combat negative perceptions, we will have to work twice as hard to combat the messages that this man is conveying. Instead of wasting time on idiotic proposals to boycott Dutch products (which will be more of a collective punishment while inflicting zero effect on Wilders), this is a much better route to defend Islam.

I'd normally say to ignore these people, but with the massive amount of publicity this guy is getting, something has to be done. Just remember Muslims, the more you use your emotions, the further he is emboldened.

Is this idiot for real?

Bush heralds a "Iraq victory"

What victory?

No WMD's? No ties between Saddam and al-Qaeda? The exodus of Iraqi Christians from their ancient homeland? The murder of the Chaldean Archbishop? The recent bombing in Karbala? The destruction of the al-Askariyah shrine? The deaths of a million Iraqis since this invasion?

Is this what you consider a victory?

Muslim silence on anti-Christian persecution

Why do we as Muslims often stay silent when Christians in Muslim countries are subjected to attacks and persecution?

I say this in light of the disgusting murder of the Chaldean Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho of Mosul, Iraq last week. Iraqi Muslims rightfully condemned this disgusting act, but where were the indignant condemnations and outrage by Muslims in the West? God knows we tend to cry bloody murder when Muslims are being persecuted by tyrants (unless they are Islamic, cue the silence of the Taliban for example), yet what about the minorities in Muslim lands? Is their blood less worthy than others? Do Muslims apparently get a free pass to persecute and make life hell for Christians and others in Muslim countries?

Why is it so difficult for Muslims to bring light of wrongdoings like this? We all know the Prophet (saw) would not endorse the harm of minorities so what gives these Muslims the right to do so?

If we are going to bring up the faults of non-Muslim tyrants oppressing our brothers and sisters, then we must by that same token speak out when non-Muslims are attacked and murdered by Muslim extremists. The silence of Archbishop Rahho is extremely unacceptable.

First church in Qatar opens

Good for Qatar to accomodate non-Muslims by opening the first Catholic Church in Qatar with much fanfare.

Guess the Islamaphobes will need to find another argument to sensationalize dhimmitude.

Iraqi hypocrisy

After the Turks invaded northern Iraq (Kurdistan), Iraq obviously condemns the Turkish effort and suddenly expects the Turks to withdraw cold turkey.

Well here's an idea: how about the Iraqi government stamps out the PKK so they won't have their sovereignty threatened. If the Kurds had little sympathy towards the PKK, as stated in the article, then perhaps they would have done a lot more to prevent them from setting up shop in their turf. Just another excuse to make themselves look like victims. Typical.

To those who think Turkey has no right to act upon this menace, all I have to say is: remember Pancho Villa and his cross-border raid in New Mexico in 1916?

Back from the abyss

Greetings yet again! Again, I apologize for the long time it took for myself to post yet again, but I'll be honest on why I didn't post: I was lazy and had other things going on with my life. I won't bore you with the crap that goes on with my life so I'll just leave it at that, since this blog is not meant to be a personal blog of some sorts.

Again, I'll try my best to keep this blog going with regular posts.
